R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi perform in the lead roles in Vikram Vedha, which is an official remake of Pushkar-Gayatri’s 2017 Tamil film of the same name. While Saif plays Vikram, a cop from Madhavan’s films, Hrithik plays Vedha, a gangster from Vijay’s films.

In a media interaction prior to the film’s release, Hrithik Roshan discussed comparisons with Vijay Sethupathi and said, “I know how amazingly Vijay Sethupathi did the same part. Even if I could achieve that level, I would not have imagined I would. Still, I have given it my all.”

In the Hindi remake, he said his admiration for Vijay’s craft and performance didn’t influence his portrayal of Vedha.
