Do you know about these secret Android settings?

Secret Android settings: Before monthly plans and the digital age, checking your balance and account status required manually entering a code into your phone’s dialer. You may be surprised to learn that dialer codes, also known as USSD and MMI codes, are still useful today. You can use these Android settings to make your phone work even better.

How to check phone stats

01

To access your Android phone’s information quickly, you can use a dialer code instead of digging through the complicated settings.

Open up your dialer app and type *#*#4636#*#* into it.

After entering the code, the testing menu will appear on your phone. It is then possible to check your phone information, usage statistics, and Wi-Fi information in detail. Also included is your IMEI number, which is located under the phone information category.

How to find the phone’s EMI Number

02
Don’t want to dig through the testing menu? You don’t have to worry because there is a shortcut to the shortcut! You can pull out the IMEI number in seconds if you enter *#06# instead of the first secret code.

How to Check Specific absorption Rate of Phone

03

The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of your smartphone refers to the amount of radiofrequency energy it emits that is absorbed by your body. By entering a handy little code into your dialer, you can determine your phone’s SAR level.

All you need to do is dial *#07#, and your phone’s regulatory label will appear. The SAR information and model number of your phone are displayed here.

How to Run Google Play diagnostics

04
You may need to run Google Play diagnostics on your Android phone at some point. This dial pad code should be helpful if you find yourself in that situation. Open your dialer app and enter *#*#426#*#* to reveal the necessary details.

How to view Phone’s Calender’s Phone Info

05
You can also view the calendar information for each Google Calendar account on your Android phone. In addition to birthdays, public holidays, and other events, this also includes the number of birthdays you have logged into your phone.  Enter *#*#225#*#* in your keypad to view these basic calendar statistics.
More Codes

In addition to these keypad codes, there are many other ways to access various Android settings. A USSD code interacts with your operator, while a MMI code interacts with your model. Codes that work on your phone vary greatly depending on your telecom operator and smartphone brand.

All the dialer codes mentioned so far can be used on any Android phone, including the Google Pixel 6 running Android 13. Keep in mind that they may or may not work.

The following are a few more codes and their functions. My Pixel did not work with them, but you might be able to get them to work on yours. Due to the irreversibility of most of these actions and the lack of a second confirmation window, tread carefully.
